Starting July 4th, our Art Exploratory Walks aren't just about learning to paint—they are an active practice of mindfulness in motion. To count down to our first walk, we are exploring the 10 traditional Yamas (outer ethics) and Niyamas (inner observances) through the lens of a local art walk.Yoga isn't just on a sticky mat; it’s in how we observe, create, and exist in our local environment. Follow along this week as we break down the creative code. Space is limited—secure your spot for the entire summer series via the link in our bio! #TeachingIthacaWellness #PaintYoga #IthacaArt
(AI Image prompt) A beautifully composed hand-painted illustration (style of a watercolor and colored pencil sketch) showing a detailed foreground scene of a girl named "Crow"—perhaps with a subtle, stylized feather in her hair or a crow sketch in her book—sitting on a park bench. She is completely surrounded by art supplies: multiple open tiny sketchbooks (like the one in image_0.png), small watercolor pans, brushes, and pencils. The elastic closure of one book holds a Bic pen and pencil. In the mid-ground, the main group of "Paint Yoga Exploratory Art Walk" participants is seen meandering along a sidewalk near a beautiful, winding urban stream (the beautiful water scene from image_1.png). They are looking closely at reflections and textures, pointing, and actively discussing the nature they are observing. Dappled sunlight filters through the trees, making the whole scene glow with focused energy.

What connects ancient yoga with the simple act of putting a pen to paper? A lot more than you'd think.

Starting July 4th, our Art Exploratory Walks are launching—but they aren't just about learning to paint beautiful landscapes. This is an active practice of Mindfulness in Motion.

To count down to our first walk, we are dedicating the next week to breaking down the creative code through the lens of yoga philosophy. We will explore how the 10 traditional Yamas (outer ethics) and Niyamas (inner observances) apply directly to our local art walk experience.

Meet "Crow" (pictured here), one of our observation guides, who finds insights hidden in every ripple of the water and every texture of the trail. 💧✨

Yoga isn't just on a sticky mat; it’s in how we observe, create, and exist in our local environment. Follow along this week to get grounded and inspired.

Space is limited! Secure your spot for the entire 8-week summer series (starting at $100 for a season pass) via the link in our bio and commit to a summer of creative growth.
