10 Codes, 1 Summer, 1 Collective Journey. 🌿🎨Over the last week, we have traveled through the ancient philosophy of yoga, translating it off the sticky mat and directly onto the grass at Washington Park. We’ve explored how a simple 1.5-hour meander along the Waterfront Trail can become a living laboratory for your mind, body, and creative spirit.
As we prepare to lace up our sneakers, here is a quick cheat-sheet of the Paint Yoga Code of Conduct we will be practicing together this summer:
Ahimsa (Non-Harm): We document and honor the local ecosystem, leaving only footprints and taking only sketches.
Satya (Truthfulness): We drop the filters and caricatures, learning to see and paint the beautiful truth of what is right in front of us.
Asteya (Non-Stealing): We don’t consume or claim the landscape; we simply steal a quiet moment of inspiration and leave the trail intact for the next soul.
Brahmacharya (Energy Balance): This isn't a grueling hike—it’s a somatic recharge. We listen to our bodies and manage our creative tools to keep our pages from warping.
Aparigraha (Non-Grasping): We let go of the pressure to create a "masterpiece" and find pure freedom in tiny, private observations.
Saucha (Purity): We use magic water brushes to flush away the mud, keeping our physical palettes and our mental canvases beautifully clean.
Santosha (Contentment): We step away from realism in our abstract sessions, finding peace and gratitude in the unexpected bleed of the watercolors.
Tapas (Discipline): We ignite our commitment to our own mental health by showing up consistently, week after week.
Svadhyaya (Self-Study): We treat our pocket journals as mirrors, flipping through the pages to track our emotional and creative evolution.
Ishvara Pranidhana (Surrender): We drop the illusion of control, step into the flow of nature, and trust the creative process.

🚨 The Ultimate Summer Commitment: The Full Pass
Transformation requires showing up. The absolute last day to register for the entire summer-long package is July 4th before our inaugural walk! For $100, the Paint Yoga Walking Tour Summer Pass gets you entry to all 22 sessions across the summer and autumn rhythm, plus your very own custom Tiny Art Kit to keep and fill.

A Note on Moderation: In the spirit of Brahmacharya (moderation and non-hoarding), we don't over-purchase supplies ahead of time. Because we work with variable, small-scale suppliers, no two Tiny Art Kits are exactly alike.
Your kit might have a slightly different cover or elastic band than your neighbor's—but every single one is handmade with love and holds the exact same high-quality materials and creative value.
Prefer to Flex? Choose the Drop-In Track
If a full-season commitment doesn't fit your current schedule, you can still dive into the flow:
Your First Drop-In ($20): Comes complete with a single walk registration and your own handmade Tiny Art Kit to keep.
Future Drop-Ins ($5–$20 suggested donation): Once you have your kit in hand, you are fully equipped! You can simply register for a single session as a drop-in in the future and contribute a sliding-scale donation to support the curriculum and the trail guide.
Whether you buy the whole kit and caboodle or join us for a single afternoon, give your mind a safe place to put down its burdens and paint small.
The first group departs promptly from Washington Park on Saturday, July 4th at 1:30 PM. Space is limited to keep our group container intimate and supportive.
