It’s only May 15th, but July 4th is just a few weeks away! As I prep for our summer season of Paint Yoga Exploratory Art Walks, I’ve been busy assembling this year's batch of tiny art kits.

If you’ve been following along, you know these kits are the heartbeat of our walks. However, even the art world isn't immune to the "shrinkflation" of the 2020s. I wanted to give you a sneak peek at how the kits are evolving and why you might want to snag one of the originals while they last.

The Original vs. The New

While the bags remain the same reliable vessels for our creativity, the supplies inside are shifting:

  • The Journals: I’m navigating some changes with my journal suppliers. The new journals have experienced a bit of "shrinkflation"—they are truly, really tiny! They are undeniably cute and color-matched to their bags, but they offer a different scale for your sketches.

  • The Palettes: Our original kits feature my curated high-quality palettes. The newer iterations feature white plastic palettes; they are sleek and functional, though they do not come with lids like the originals.

  • The "New" Sparkle: It’s not all about smaller sizes, though! The new kits feature a special addition: Silver or Gold gel pens to add that metallic pop to your watercolor highlights.

Variety is the Spice of the Season

As we move from July through October, these variations are going to make the walks even more fun. Every kit has its own personality, just like every artist who joins us.

Reserve Your Spot

Reserve Yours Now: If you have your heart set on one of the high-quality original kits, now is the time to act. Registering early for the July 4th Kickoff Walk is the only way to guarantee you reserve one of the original supply sets before the new "ultra-tiny" versions take over the inventory!

Booking Options

I can’t wait to see what we create together in the Ithaca landscape. Whether you’re working in an original journal or one of the new even cuter tiny gems, the goal remains the same: see, hear, smell, and touch the grass.
