Grown-up PJ Party anyone?

Hey Folks! Here's my newest idea. I'd like to combine a bit of Cuddle Party (™) and AVP to cozy up and listen to each other. Please Make a comment on this post if you'd be interested in attending or hosting such an event :)

Introduction

The Grown-up Pajama Party is a 4-hour event based on the foundations of facilitating Cuddle Party (™) and Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) events at home, community centers, and correctional facilities.

Bio and Credentials

Alison Rawlins is a certified facilitator in CP and AVP programs, she has 200+ hours of yoga teacher training, holds a MS degree in Communication, and has been a temp at a variety of businesses as well as a per diem classroom teacher for 6-12 grade students and a client manager for fraternal organizations at the university level. Alison’s work with individuals from a variety of circumstances supports her unique listening ability.

Cuddle Party (™)

Cuddle Party Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization.

Cuddle Party Inc.’s mission is to nurture honest human connections by

  1. Creating opportunities to explore, learn, and practice embodied communication;

  2. Supporting an inclusive community of practice; and

  3. Promoting accountability to core values of bodily autonomy, self-determination, and kindness.

Alternatives to Violence Project

The Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) is a volunteer-run conflict transformation program. Teams of trained AVP facilitators conduct experiential workshops to develop participants' ability to resolve conflicts without manipulation, coercion, or violence. Each workshop typically lasts 18–20 hours over two or three days. The workshop events place a strong emphasis on the experiences of the participants, building confidence that everyone contributes something of value to violence prevention. AVP groups and facilitators are active in communities and prisons across the United States and many other countries.
